A comfortable bra starts with the right size. Two measurements taken at home provide a good starting point: your back circumference and your bust circumference. Since sizes can vary by style, then use the product-specific guide and also rely on your own feeling.
What you need
Use a flexible tape measure and wear a thin, non-padded bra. Stand straight, breathe normally, and keep the tape horizontal without tightening it.
1. Measuring your back circumference
Place the tape just below your bust. It should stay close to your body without compressing. Note the measurement in centimeters. If you are between two values, compare the two neighboring sizes in the style guide.
2. Measuring your bust circumference
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust. Check in a mirror that it does not ride up in the back. The difference between this measurement and the back circumference helps to identify the cup size.
Checking the fit
- The back remains horizontal and does not ride up.
- The bust is contained without spillage or empty space.
- The straps provide support without digging into the shoulders.
- You can breathe, sit, and lift your arms easily.
A woman's bust can change over time, with weight fluctuations or hormonal changes. Retake your measurements regularly and for each new style.
